Henderson Recruitment Pty Ltd t/a Henderson Healthcare (ABN 29 619 777 552) understands the importance of protecting all our clients and staff members’ privacy. We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 and prides ourselves on best practice when it comes to Healthcare Recruitment. From time to time, Henderson Healthcare is required to collect, hold, use and/or disclose personal information relating to individuals in the performance of its business activities.
Our prominent business is the placement of permanent and fixed term contract staffing with the occasional casual healthcare worker.
Marketing information
Henderson Healthcare does not under any circumstances sell any information to external agencies for marketing purposes. With your consent we my use your personal details to give information that may be of interest to you about our services with our Clients that we have relationships with. Your consent will be implied unless you notify us that you do not consent to your information being used for this reason and this can be done at any time.
Personal information the Company collects and holds
We collect personal information from you when you use our services. For example:
- Candidate : if you are seeking employment with Henderson Healthcare or its clients, we may hold information like name, address, email, phone number, gender, age, employment history, references, medical history, resume, next of kin, taxation details, qualifications and payment details.
- Client : we may hold information including your name, address, email address, phone number and gender.
- Supplier : we may hold your name, address, email, phone number, business records, billing information, information about goods and services supplied by you.
- Referee : we may hold your name, contact details, currently employment and professional opinions of candidates that you are supplying the reference for.
- Sensitive information : we will only collect this information if reasonably necessary. This may include but not limited to, information or an opinion about racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union, sexual preferences, criminal record, health information or genetic information.
How we collect and hold personal information
Henderson Healthcare will always collect personal information only by lawful and fair means. All personal and sensitive information will always be collected from you directly when you fill out and submit one of our registration forms or any other information in connection with your application to us for registration. You may choose to deal with us without giving us your personal information however please note that we may not be able to provide you with the assistance that you need as
- we may be limited in our ability to locate suitable work for you;
- we may be limited in our ability to place you in work;
- we might decline to represent you in your search for work or put you forward for particular positions.
Much of the personal information that the Company holds is stored in our Information Record System. The Company’s Information Record System comprises of hard copy files and/or electronic files in the Company’s ordinary IT systems. These may include cloud servers or servers of third parties.
Personal information about you that we collect from others
We collect personal information about you from other people including referees, previous employers, professional registration authorities, educational institutions, who may be in a position to provide us with information that we may use to assess your suitability to be placed in or continue in positions that you may be offered. When the Company collects personal information about you through third parties, it will manage such information in accordance with the APPs.
Legal requirements for personal information
Some laws such as taxation law, immigration law, laws regulating employment agencies, laws relating to national security, laws relating to professional or trade registration and laws for the protection of certain classes of people (such as children or the elderly) may require that we collect certain types of information (including criminal history and evidence of your right to work) from you that is relevant to the position/s for which you may be applying.
Your personal and sensitive information may be disclosed to
- Employers and Clients of Henderson Healthcare
- Referees or a person who seeks a reference regarding you
- Our insurers (including workers comp for casual employees)
- Registration body that has a proper interest in the disclosure of your personal and sensitive information
- Contractors and Suppliers eg. I.T. and database
- Parent, guardian, holder of an enduring power of attorney (or like authority) or next of kin whom we may contact in any case in which consent is required or notification is to be given and where it is not practicable to obtain it from or give it directly to you;
- Any person with a lawful entitlement to obtain the information.
